The Po Lam Buddhist Association Temple in Chilliwack, BC, stands as a testament to over two decades of vision and dedication by Venerable Yin Kit Sik and the Po Lam monastic community. Completed in Spring 2020, this 42,000-square-foot spiritual sanctuary encompasses a central temple flanked by two residential buildings, all set within a serene 10-acre landscape. The main temple features a 10,000-square-foot meditation hall adorned with gracefully arched glulam beams and a 10-foot cedar Buddha statue, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and reverence. The lower level houses a chanting hall for ceremonies and community gatherings. Adjacent to the temple, the Precious Forest Farm provides organic produce for the community, reflecting the temple's commitment to sustainable living and spiritual practice.
NuFrame contributed to this project by supplying framing materials, trusses, and rough timbers, supporting the traditional timber construction methods employed in the temple's design. Their involvement ensured the structural integrity and authenticity of the wood framing, aligning with the temple's architectural vision and spiritual purpose.
