Located at 1502 Admirals Road on Songhees Nation land in Victoria, BC, this six-storey, 66-unit purpose-built rental development marks the first new on-reserve housing for the community in nearly two decades. A collaborative effort between Songhees Nation, Aryze Developments, BC Housing, CMHC, and the Capital Regional District, the project offers a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom homes, all with rents geared to income. Designed to prioritize Songhees members, the building incorporates Indigenous art and symbolism, reflecting the community's cultural heritage and commitment to providing safe, secure housing for its members.
NuFrame was engaged to deliver a comprehensive material supply package for the Admirals project, encompassing wall panels, design, delivery, and labour for the wood frame structure. By overseeing every aspect from prefabrication to on-site installation, NuFrame ensured precision and efficiency throughout the construction process. Their integrated approach contributed to the successful realization of this significant development, enhancing the Songhees Nation's housing landscape with quality craftsmanship and innovative design.
